This article introduces a project for a client in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. We created a distinctive and open partition suitable for an office meeting space. Its key features are a structure that gently divides a large space and the beauty created by the curved lines of the arch.

1. Design Features: A Wooden Partition with an Impressive Arch
This project was for a partition to create a meeting space within an office.
Its most distinctive feature is the rhythmically arranged curved vertical lattice and the overall arched form that surrounds the structure.
The result is a design that gently divides the space while maintaining openness, combining both design appeal and functionality.
2. Production Details: Curved Templates and Precision Processing
To achieve this arched shape, we created several types of R-shaped templates, meaning templates with different curve radii, at our workshop.
Each component was shaped by hand one by one according to its position, then finished so that the entire piece connected beautifully.
Because even slight differences in the lines greatly affect the finished appearance, this work required an extremely high level of precision.
3. About the Material: Characteristics and Handling of Melamine Material
The material used was wood-based board finished with melamine decorative laminate. Because the surface is hard and scratches or chips can easily stand out, we handled it with the utmost care during cutting and joining.
The specifications were designed with not only appearance, but also durability and ease of cleaning in mind.
4. Assembly Method: Delivery Size and Temporary Assembly
Because the completed piece is very large, it was made with a divided structure so that it could be carried in more easily.
Before final installation, we temporarily assembled it inside the workshop to confirm that all parts could be assembled without any issues.
Since this project was a production-only request, the completed piece was disassembled, packed, and delivered.
5. From the Woodworking Site: Introducing the Production Process
We would also like to share photos from the workshop.
The arch components cut out one by one, the careful positioning during assembly, and the handwork of skilled craftspeople all show the careful craftsmanship behind the project.
The workshop has the unique sense of focus and attention to detail that comes with custom-made production.

This is a completely original partition that fits the space and purpose in a way that ready-made products cannot achieve.
