1. Proposal for Custom Sliding Doors Designed to Match the Space

This time, we would like to introduce two types of custom-made sliding doors with different designs, used within the same space.

Although the same western hemlock material was used, changing the design created doors with different expressions.
One of the appeals of custom-made doors is that you can choose the most suitable design for each location while maintaining a sense of unity throughout the entire space.

2. Common Specifications | Top-Hung System and Soft-Close Hardware

Both sliding doors share the same door specifications.
・Top-hung sliding door structure
・Hardware with soft-close function

A top-hung sliding door has no floor rail, which offers the following benefits.
・Because no floor divider is needed, it creates a unified interior design
・Because there are no uneven parts on the floor, cleaning is easier
・Because the floor can be kept flat, it offers excellent barrier-free accessibility

In addition, the soft-close function provides gentle operation by reducing impact when opening and closing the door.

3. About the Material | The Appeal of Western Hemlock

In this project, western hemlock was used.

Western hemlock pairs well with natural interiors and has an appealing material quality that blends into the space without being too assertive.
・Soft, pale color tone
・Straight and beautiful wood grain
・Texture that blends easily into the space

4. Sliding Door A | Random-Pattern Design Door

Sliding Door A features a design in which solid wood boards of different thicknesses are randomly applied to the surface.

The shadows created by the uneven surface make this door a design feature within the space.
An expressive look that does not feel monotonous
・The warmth of hand craftsmanship
・A visual accent

5. Sliding Door B | Full-Height Door That Showcases the Wood Grain

Sliding Door B is a full-height door that extends all the way to the ceiling, with a simple vertical board design that makes full use of the western hemlock wood grain.
By eliminating unnecessary decoration, the beauty of the material itself stands out.
・Makes the space feel larger
・Creates a clean impression
・Creates a sense of unity with the architecture

6. Creating Different Expressions with the Same Material

In this project, the same western hemlock material was used while creating contrast through random application and vertical application.
• A full-height door with a random pattern that emphasizes design
• A vertically paneled door that simply showcases the material

This creates variation within the space while achieving both unity and contrast in the overall design.

7. Benefits Unique to Custom-Made Doors

Custom-made doors offer a high degree of freedom.
This makes it possible to plan doors with the entire space in mind, something that is difficult with ready-made products.
・The size can be made to fit perfectly
・The design can be changed for each space
・Materials and finishes can be unified

Because doors greatly influence the impression of a home, paying attention to the details can help create a highly refined space.
