Custom-Made Queen-Size Bed Frame with Built-In Drawers and a Wall-Mounted Cushioned Headboard

Custom Furniture, Built-Ins, Furniture Repurposing, Repairs & Maintenance | OJIKI Workshop

This project showcases a custom-made queen-size bed frame designed to complement the customer’s bedroom and accommodate the existing wall features.

We created this queen-size bed frame after discussing the customer’s preferences and requirements.

During our initial consultation, the customer requested three main features:

・Four storage drawers in total, with drawers on both sides of the bed.
・A dark-colored finish.
・Thick, comfortable cushions mounted directly on the wall.

At the customer’s request, we designed the bed without a conventional headboard. Instead, we installed cushions directly onto the wall behind the bed.

Wall-Mounted Cushions: The cushions are removable and were made thicker than usual to provide additional comfort, as requested by the customer.

Bed Controls: We carefully incorporated the bed’s control switch into the front surface of the cushioning, ensuring a neat and practical installation.

The storage drawers on both sides of the bed are fitted with drawer slides, allowing them to open and close smoothly with minimal effort.

This makes the drawers easy to use in everyday life.

We finished the bed frame in a dark color that complements the existing flooring, creating a calm and coordinated atmosphere throughout the bedroom.
