Maintenance of a Solid Teak Round Table (Repair & Refinishing)

This project showcases the repair, refinishing, and maintenance of a solid teak round table. Although the tabletop had suffered years of wear and damage, the customer wished to continue using this cherished piece for many years to come, so we restored and refinished the entire table, including the tabletop.

The solid teak round table underwent comprehensive repair and refinishing.

Years of use had caused significant natural wood movement, resulting in warping, cracks, and other structural damage.

To restore the tabletop properly, we first separated all of the glued joints and completely disassembled it.

Each board was then re-milled to remove the warping before being carefully rejoined and reassembled to restore the table’s original shape and structural integrity.

The finish was carefully color-matched to preserve the table’s original appearance and character as closely as possible.

Because the restoration had to be completed while maintaining the table’s original thickness and dimensions, the work required a high level of craftsmanship and precision.

The transformation was remarkable, and we were delighted that the customer was extremely pleased with the beautifully restored table.
