1. Client Request and Project Background
To meet the client’s request for more storage space, we designed, built, and installed a large storage unit that makes full use of the wall and reaches up to the ceiling. This was a fully custom-made piece, carefully designed to suit the existing conditions of the room, including ceiling beams and electrical outlet positions.

2. Features of the Finished Storage Furniture
・Sliding doors on both sides allow smooth access from the center, left, and right sections.
・A three-level structure makes full use of the ceiling height: lower storage, middle closet space, and upper overhead cabinets.
・The exterior features a warm wood-grain finish that blends naturally with the room.

3. Interior Layout and Functionality
・Hanger rods are installed on both the left and right sides, allowing long coats to be stored comfortably.
・The center section combines adjustable shelves with double hanger rods to increase storage capacity.
・The white interior improves visibility, making it easier and more comfortable to take clothes in and out.

4. Key Points in Responding to the Client’s Requests
・The design of the upper storage was adjusted to match the shape of the ceiling beam.
・Space was secured for storing a robot vacuum cleaner and a stick vacuum cleaner.
・The position and size of the door handles were fine-tuned on site to ensure ease of everyday use.

5. Benefits of Using an Entire Wall for Storage
Maximizing storage capacity
By using the space from floor to ceiling without waste, it is possible to secure an impressive amount of storage even within a limited floor area.
The upper dead space can also be used effectively for seasonal items and things that are not used every day.
Creating a clean and organized room
By concentrating storage along one wall, there is no need to place multiple pieces of furniture around the room, helping to keep the living space open and neatly arranged.
When the doors are closed, the room takes on a simple and refined appearance without a cluttered feeling.
Creating storage styles tailored to each item
Hanger rods, adjustable shelves, and separate upper and lower storage areas allow the layout to be customized according to what will be stored.
By organizing items into categories such as “hang,” “place,” and “store away,” everyday usability is greatly improved.

6. The Appeal of Custom-Made Storage
As in this project, creating storage that fits perfectly into the home allows limited space to be used to its fullest potential.
Perfectly fitted dimensions unique to built-in woodwork
Because the furniture is made to suit the shapes of the walls, ceiling, and beams, it is possible to achieve a beautiful, seamless fit that is difficult with ready-made products.
By making use of the full height up to the ceiling, the result is a highly refined finish that only custom built-in storage can provide.
A beautiful design integrated with architectural woodwork
Wall storage can be integrated with doors and other architectural elements, allowing it to blend naturally into the room.
By matching the materials and colors with the interior, the entire space gains a sense of unity.
Flexible enough for future use
By using adjustable shelves and a simple overall structure, the storage can flexibly adapt to changes in lifestyle.
As a long-lasting storage plan, it also adds value to the home.
The ability to customize design, function, and dimensions is one of the greatest advantages of custom-made furniture.
