1. Introduction: About the Door Design for a Daikanyama Office
This project is a custom-made doors and partitions installation for an office space in Daikanyama, commissioned by an architectural design office.
The result combines the warmth unique to solid wood with a modern sense of transparency.
2. Refined Built-In Work Featuring 20 mm-Wide Solid Oak Lattice Frames
For the doors and partitions, we used 20 mm-wide solid oak. The delicate and slender design gives the space a light, refined presence.
All wooden parts are finished with urethane coating, carefully applied to bring out the beauty of the oak grain.
<3. 3 mm-Thick Clear Glass Used Inside the Doors
Clear glass with a thickness of 3 mm is fitted inside the lattice frames. This structure gently divides the space while allowing light to pass through without blocking the line of sight.
The combination of wooden frames and glass contributes to a modern, transparent spatial design.
4. Functionality Included: Glass-Free Openings for Easy Passage
Part of the partition includes a glass-free opening, designed with daily movement flow in mind, as seen in the lower left section.
The design includes careful consideration not only for appearance, but also for practicality and safety.

Finish: Solid oak + urethane coating
Glass: Clear glass, 3 mm thick
Single sliding door size: H2060 × W1060 mm
Partition size: H2700 × W2500 mm, with an opening in the lower left section
Shoji-style door size: H2050 × W2390 mm, W1204 mm × 2 panels
