Custom Half-Height Living Room Wall Cabinet (Sagamihara, Kanagawa)
Custom-Made Half-Height Wall Cabinet for the Living Room
Custom Furniture, Built-Ins, Furniture Repurposing, Repairs & Maintenance | OJIKI Workshop
This project showcases a custom half-height living room wall cabinet, designed to span the full width of a wall for a customer in Sagamihara, Kanagawa.
The customer wanted to create a cleaner, more organized living room, so we designed a built-in storage cabinet that makes full use of the available wall space.
In addition to everyday household items, the cabinet provides dedicated storage for hobby supplies as well as a concealed pull-out compartment for a trash bin.
To keep the room feeling bright and open, we combined white polyester-laminated panels with solid oak accents, creating a clean, modern design with the warmth of natural wood.
The second compartment from the bottom is a pull-out drawer designed to neatly conceal a trash bin.
Solid oak was used as an accent on the front edge of the countertop and the integrated finger pulls on the cabinet doors, adding warmth and a refined natural touch to the design.
