This project showcases a custom family storage cabinet with integrated closet functionality, designed for a client in Sagamihara, Kanagawa.

To meet these needs, we designed and built a custom storage cabinet that the entire family can use every day.
Combining warm wood grain with glossy black cabinet fronts, this piece offers both generous storage and a refined contemporary appearance. It was carefully sized to accommodate children’s Japanese school backpacks (randoseru) while making everyday organization simple and convenient.

This project features a custom storage cabinet designed for shared family use in the living room.
Since storage furniture is used every day, thoughtful organization has a significant impact on everyday comfort and convenience.
The client requested a cabinet that would:

• Provide storage for children’s school backpacks (randoseru)

Despite its low profile, which prevents the room from feeling crowded, the cabinet provides generous storage capacity.

One of the cabinet’s key features is its spacious compartment designed to accommodate children’s school backpacks (randoseru).
