This time, we would like to introduce a custom-made kitchen project from among several items we completed together for a newly built detached home.

1. Overview of the Custom-Made Project

For this project, a client building a new detached home requested custom kitchen storage and built-in furniture. This is a custom-made production example by OJIKI Workshop, where we handle a wide range of work from custom-made furniture, doors, and built-in fixtures to remodeling and repair.

2. Cupboard: Remodeling with Furniture Linoleum Doors

All existing kitchen storage doors were changed to furniture linoleum. This material is characterized by its beautiful matte texture and soft touch, giving the entire space a more refined impression. The pale blue color adds an accent to the space.

3. Kitchen Counter: Inorganic Modern Style with Flexible Board

For the face-to-face counter, flexible board, a material also used in architecture and made from cement and fiber material, was used for the countertop. It creates an inorganic and stylish atmosphere, adding a pleasant sense of tension to the space. The contrast with the white surface material is beautiful, and the storage capacity is also excellent.

4. Carefully Selected Materials

◎Furniture Linoleum

Furniture linoleum is a sustainable material made from natural raw materials such as linseed oil and natural pigments. It also has excellent antibacterial, antiviral, anti-allergy, and deodorizing properties, and is highly valued as a furniture material in Scandinavia. It is also recommended for tables and chairs.

◎Flexible Board

Flexible board is a highly durable material made from cement and fibers. By adding an inorganic impression to the space, it creates a modern and sophisticated atmosphere.
