1. The Warmth Unique to Chestnut Wood

This office entrance sliding door was crafted using chestnut wood. Chestnut wood is known for its soft light-brown tones that naturally add warmth to a space.

While it has the calm wood grain appearance similar to oak or ash, it also carries a softer and more approachable impression.

It pairs beautifully with white and gray-toned interiors and blends naturally into minimalist spaces.

Over time, the color deepens, allowing you to enjoy the aging beauty that only solid wood can provide.

2. Features of Chestnut Wood and Its Excellent Moisture Resistance

Chestnut wood has long been used for a variety of applications.

◎ Architectural Use: Foundations around water areas, pillars, staircases, flooring, and more.

◎ Interior Use: Solid wood dining tables, counters, and more.

◎ Outdoor & Civil Engineering Use: Railroad sleepers and more.

Because chestnut wood is relatively resistant to moisture, it works especially well in Japan’s humid climate and remains a durable and reliable material for long-term use.

3. Glass Design That Brings in Natural Light

This office entrance sliding door combines glass with a traditional naka-zan style sliding door design.

Rather than completely closing off the space, the glass allows light and visibility to pass through gently, reducing any sense of heaviness or confinement.

In areas such as hallways or interiors that can easily become dark, the glass sections help brighten the space naturally.

Even when viewed from outside, the soft glow from the interior creates an inviting atmosphere.

Another attractive feature of this glass sliding door is how differently it appears during the daytime and nighttime.

4. Custom Sizing Designed Specifically for the Space

This office entrance sliding door was custom-made and carefully sized to fit the space perfectly.

Custom-made construction allows flexible solutions that are difficult to achieve with ready-made products, such as:

・Adjusting to the exact opening dimensions
・Balancing proportions within the space
・Designing the placement of the glass panels
・Fine-tuning detailed construction finishes

Doors especially can dramatically affect the impression of a space depending on how they connect with the walls, floors, and ceiling.

By carefully adjusting the proportions and dimensions, the finished door naturally blends into the architecture itself.

5. How Doors Influence the Entire Atmosphere of a Space

Doors play a major role in shaping the impression of a room. The materials, colors, use of glass, and the way light passes through can completely transform the atmosphere.

◎ Incorporating doors that express the warmth of natural wood
Creates a softer and calmer atmosphere throughout the space.

◎ Keeping the design simple
Makes the door timeless and easy to enjoy for many years.
