OJIKI Workshop is currently seeking skilled woodworking craftsmen to help us expand our business through the production of custom-made furniture and wooden products.

We welcome not only experienced woodworking professionals, but also those who have studied woodworking at school or through training programs and are eager to begin a professional career in woodworking.

About OJIKI Workshop

OJIKI Workshop is a woodworking studio located in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture (approximately 5 minutes by car from Minamirinkan Station), specializing in custom-made wooden furniture and architectural woodwork.

With the belief of “creating furniture and woodwork that enrich each customer’s lifestyle and can be loved for many years,” we produce custom furniture using natural solid wood, while also offering repair, maintenance, restoration, and remodeling services for cherished furniture pieces.

Each piece of solid wood has its own unique expression and character. Our craftsmen carefully and sincerely create furniture that becomes more beautiful with age, so customers can continue enjoying their furniture for many years to come.

We are grateful to have received support and many orders from a wide range of clients, including individual customers, architectural offices, and construction companies.

As our business continues to grow, OJIKI Workshop is now looking for new team members to join us in the manufacturing of furniture and wooden architectural products.

As part of our team, you will mainly work on made-to-order furniture projects created from scratch, as well as repair, maintenance, restoration, and remodeling work for customers’ valuable furniture.

Because OJIKI operates with a small but highly skilled team, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks depending on your abilities, including manufacturing, finishing, painting, repair, and restoration. This is a rewarding environment where you can experience many different aspects of woodworking instead of repetitive factory-style work.

This workshop is ideal for people who love woodworking, want to create a variety of furniture and architectural woodwork, and wish to gain practical woodworking experience.

◎ Position Details

【Position】
Woodworking Craftsman

● Applicants with woodworking production experience are preferred
● People aspiring to become professional woodworkers are welcome
● Applicants who can communicate politely and professionally

【Job Description】
・Production of custom-made furniture and wooden products
・Painting and finishing work
・General woodworking tasks including repair, maintenance, and remodeling
※ We will teach you how to complete the entire production process independently from start to finish.

【Requirements】
・Valid Japanese driver’s license required
・Up to approximately 35 years old
・Gender not specified

【Employment Type & Working Conditions】

Employment Type: Part-time (trial period included)
Career Path: Opportunity for full-time employment after 1–2 years

Hourly Wage: From ¥1,250 (negotiable depending on experience)
Transportation Allowance: Up to ¥10,000
Working Hours: Able to work 4 or more days per week between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Holidays: Sundays and the 2nd & 4th Saturdays
